Arugam Bay is arguably the best wave in Sri Lanka. A long breaking right hand point break .The wave breaks over reef with several fast sections rifling down the line.

LessThe whole place was fantastic; people were nice, nice weather and great location.
Mambos was a really good spot which was sitting on the sand of the beach Arugam Bay.
We didn't get to do much cultural site seeing in as the main ones were quite far away from the east coast although each time we were on tuk tuks there was enough culture and wildlife to see..
And the surf was just to good!
The surf was actually a lot busier than I was expecting although it was mostly people learning to surf in the surf schools.
The busiest being Arugam Bay which was out the front of mambos.
But plenty of other great beaches to choose from!!
Food was really nice pretty much everywhere, Mambos had good food but we tried other places as well.
There was one main street with plenty to choose from.
Mambos gave us a complimentary breakfast each morning which was great! Which was a fresh juice, fruit pieces, big pot of coffee, jam, 3 pieces of toast and 2 eggs.
Our room was really nice with air con and cleaned whenever we asked.
Overall great place, definitely on the cards for same time next year.
Now just trying to find somewhere with plenty of sandy right hand point breaks to go over Christmas.
We were even thinking about going to Hikkaduwa in Sri Lanka as that season is about to start and sounds quite good.
