Located just past Sunset Beach is the elusive Velzyland, named after sixties Californian shaper Dale Velzy. This is definitely one of the most localised spots on the North Shore, with access to the wave being very difficult. The wave is also very sensitive and turns off and on very quickly. To make matters worse it will be packed with plenty of up and coming local rippers, making it very hard to score this place.
The wave itself is a bowling barrel with heaps of high performance potential. V-Land breaks over a very defined shallow lava ledge.
