13th Beach is one of the most consistent beach breaks in Victoria. It extends from Barwon Heads for a few kilometres towards the town of Breamlea. The beach can generally be divided in two halves, the sandy beach section to the west and the rocky section towards Barwon Heads.
The beach can hold between two to six feet and generally prefers a lower tide. 13th Beach is also offshore in a North-East wind and so is accordingly popular in summer. On big swells a couple of bombies start to light up and there are usually a few guys towing in.
