The Pass is an easy, long right-hander a two-minute drive east of Byron Bay. Generally dominated by longboarders, The Pass can get super sucky and hollow on low tide.
On a big swell you can a super long wave over a few hundred metres right through the bay. Only problem is that it draws quite a crowd.
There are a few other waves spread throughout the Byron Bay area. The Wreck and Wategos sit on the same side of the point as The Pass, whereas Tallows Beach is on the other side and is a good summer option in a Northeast wind.
