South Point turns on when big southwest swells wrap round the rocky outcrop at the southern end of Cowaramup Bay. It's an awesome set up which breaks into a protected bay. The wave surges off the take-off then walls up for hundreds of metres. Halfway along there is a section that throws a bit offering a chance at a cover up. South Point is protected from the howling southwest wind, making it a good option in the summer months.
